Reusabile
The ultimate goal of FAIR is to optimise the reuse of data. To achieve this, metadata and data should be well-described so that they can be replicated and/or combined in different settings.
R1
R1. (Meta)data are richly described with a plurality of accurate and relevant attributes.
This is a long term goal of SALURBAL which is to adopt DDI standards for integration to the globally FAIR ecosystem. DDI enables the documentation of a wide range of attributes for each dataset, including study design, sampling methodology, data collection procedures, variable definitions, and coding schemes.
R1.1
R1.1. (Meta)data are released with a clear and accessible data usage license.
All publicly accessible SALURBAL data will be under CC BY 4.0 License.
R1.2
R1.2. (Meta)data are associated with detailed provenance.
This is a long term goal of SALURBAL which is to adopt DDI standards for integration to the globally FAIR ecosystem. DDI captures detailed provenance information, including the origin of the data, the methodology used to collect it, and any transformations or analyses the data has undergone.
R1.3
R1.3. (Meta)data meet domain-relevant community standards.
This is a long term goal of SALURBAL which is to adopt DDI standards for integration to the globally FAIR ecosystem. DDI itself is a community standard developed for and by the research community in the social, behavioral, and economic sciences. It reflects the specific needs and practices of this community, ensuring that metadata and data are documented in a way that meets domain-relevant expectations.
